Meet Katie Macedo, Hatteras Project Manager for Leading Retail Brands

February 27, 2020

They say it’s important to walk in your customers’ shoes to better understand their perspective and business needs. So when Katie Macedo joined Hatteras in October 2019 as a Project Manager for our large retail accounts – bringing with her years of experience working in visual merchandising for top retail brands – we were very excited to have someone with so much "client side" experience join our team.

Katie’s first job was in retail, working on floor sets at Mandee’s at age 16. During her time at NYC’s LIM College where she studied business with a concentration in Visual Merchandising, she held several internships at retail brands including Delia’s, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the high-end women’s apparel brand, Diane Von Furstenberg (DVH).

Her final internship was at Tommy Hilfiger which led to a full-time position on their Visual Merchandising team. Katie produced store distros, worked with store development on current and new fixtures and store openings, and helped to ensure successful visual presentations of product and in-store marketing.  Katie then moved onto Ann Taylor as a Visual Merchandising Manager and eventually became their Visual Operations Manager, before joining Hatteras and bringing with her a wealth of client-side knowledge.

As a Hatteras Project Manager for large retail accounts, Katie works to ensure graphical rollouts run smoothly, collaborates with each internal production and technology team that supports large signage programs, and actively communicates with client marketing and field teams on new order placements and shipments.

When Katie’s not binge-watching the show Friends, you’ll find her using her creative and organizational skills towards the planning of her wedding in May 2020. Congratulations, Katie, and we wish you continued success in your role at Hatteras!
