NJ Ad Club’s 2020 “Best-in-Show” Winner

With the launch of an exciting product rebrand, window and door company, Marvin, needed to communicate the new identity to hundreds of dealers and showroom managers across the country. Their goal was not only to provide clear guidance on the rebranding, but also to create a compelling first impression that would make recipients feel special and excited upon opening the kit.

Marvin’s New Jersey-based agency, FORT Group, turned to Hatteras for assistance with producing a custom brand activation kit with these goals in mind. Hatteras collaborated with FORT Group’s creative team to design an internal structure that best organized the various components. Hatteras created prototypes in-house to experiment with different formats, ultimately deciding on an oversized box with four compartments that neatly housed the collateral. This process ensured that both the aesthetics and the build of the kit completely aligned with the brand and followed the same attention to detail that Marvin highly values.

With regard to internal components, Hatteras produced 100% of the small and large window clings, table tents, product literature, and wire-bound notebooks. Supplied were Marvin-branded floor mats and a flash drive with the information on transitioning to the new branding. Our team carefully hand-assembled each of the 1,000 kits, guaranteeing each was perfectly packed, with a finishing touch - a sleek, translucent overlay sheet, serving as a brand visual upon opening.

The finished product introduced the new brand in great style. It created a tangible, physical representation of the new brand that can’t be matched verbally or digitally. And it even made a big impression at the New Jersey Advertising Club, winning “Best-in-Show” and “Best of Collateral” at their Annual Awards Ceremony in November 2020. It was a pleasure to collaborate creatively with FORT Group, and Hatteras is proud to have been part of such a standout project!
