Scope
The Gambino Medical & Science Foundation was established 25 years ago to support and fund vital programs at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center. The funds from the foundation go directly to the Medical Center’s various programs such as The Gambino Medical & Science Foundation’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Center, and more. The Gambino Medical & Science Foundation was holding a special gala to thank their donors and supporters and to celebrate the past 25 years of helping children in need. For this event, they wanted a special program that could also become a meaningful keepsake for the attendees. Hatteras and The Gambino Foundation teamed up to find the ideal solution.
Deliverables
The end result was a 6” x 8” 32 page + cover perfect bound book. There are 6 pages of text on Glama Natural Clear Vellum Stock, and the balance of pages are printed on Neenah Classic Linen Cover. Utilizing cover stock for the text pages was a conscious decision to reach the necessary thickness to make perfect binding possible. Thicker text pages also added a premium feel to the overall book. The cover for the book was silver foil stamped on Mohawk Loop Antique Vellum in Urban Gray color.

Hatteras provided paper samples, foil stamping samples and actual-size paper dummies before production to ensure that we met the intended vision. Hatteras understood the importance of this event, and was committed to a flawless execution.
