Scope
Hatteras worked together with BBDO, one of world’s leading advertising agencies, to create a high-end sales kit for Exxon Mobile’s newest product, Mobile Jet Oil 387. This spectacularly designed kit had many moving parts, requiring tactful execution. In order to maintain the integrity of the overall concept and design, Hatteras combined various special techniques to produce the final product.
Deliverables
The complete kit was housed in a lined box with Soft Touch lamination and textured spot UV coating. A welcome letter was placed inside the box along with a trifold capacity pocket folder with Soft Touch aqueous coating and spot textured UV. Three digitally printed stepped sell sheets were inserted into the pocket of the folder. Underneath the printed collateral was a foam cushion containing a battery pack and a propeller paper weight. When assembled, the kit was not only very visually impressive, but also left a memorable tactile impression that can only be accomplished through a printed piece.

In the early stages of the project, Hatteras researched and tested the different laminations and coatings that would be utilized in production in order to achieve the desired effects. Through this process, necessary adjustments were made in order to deliver the best possible solution. Hatteras was able to leverage our production expertise in conventional and digital print along with our in-house finishing and assembly capabilities to confidently execute this project on-time and on-budget.
