Hatteras is excited to announce the recent addition of a new Durst P5 350 to our fleet of large format presses.
With best-in-class speed and quality, Durst’s new hybrid press can print on both flexible and rigid substrates up to 138 inches, making it an all-in-one solution for a wide range of products including retail and environmental graphics, dimensional displays, vehicle wraps, and many other applications.
“After thoroughly researching our options, we felt the Durst was the best choice to take our large format capabilities to the next level and deliver the most value to our customers,” says Hatteras’ Director of Large Format Print Operations, Scott Manson. “The P5 350 has dual roll capability allowing us to run two rolls simultaneously – either the same graphics or completely different jobs,” Manson says. “We’re also excited about its ability to print in day and night mode so that the same graphics can be front lit or back lit at night, a feature that will certainly be of interest to our retail clients.”
This Durst also uses an environmentally-friendly LED ink system that’s optimized for maximum print quality and up-time with minimum ink consumption, while reducing machine energy consumption. “We’re always evolving to meet the needs and tight deadlines of the markets we serve,” says Hatteras President, Bill Duerr. “The new Durst will allow us to significantly increase our capacity, while delivering a top-quality product that also aligns with our clients’ sustainability initiatives.”
