Over the past 35 years, Hatteras has evolved from a four-person print shop to one of the east coast’s leading commercial printing companies, with over 275 employees strong.
Since our founding, our mission has been simple – to deliver world-class print solutions. We’ve been able to achieve this by listening to our clients and investing in the right equipment and technologies to meet their diverse needs. But as we continue to evolve and look towards the future, we determined that it was critical that we looked inward to invest in Hatteras’ most important asset: our people.
As described in a July, 2019 article in Printing Impressions, Hatteras President, Bill Duerr, made the decision to launch a company culture initiative that cultivates growth for each employee and fosters leadership throughout the business.
Essential to the initiative was that the employees themselves develop the culture statement. “As owners, you think you know our culture, but it’s important for your workforce to have a hand in developing it…” Duerr noted in the article written by Toni McQuilken, “Employee-Driven Culture Statement, Diversification Power Success at Hatteras.”
